Partnering directly with local Haitian women, her organization currently supports approximately 120 children at risk of trafficking and abandonment by providing them with safety, education, and vocational opportunities. Speech Overview Kathy will share how her nonprofit partners with local Haitian women to rescue and support 120 children at risk of trafficking and abandonment. She will highlight how their newly constructed safe center is transforming lives through tutoring, special education, and critical vocational training. In addition, we will have Amy Olson of Memorial High School give us an update on our scholarship program with the school.	View

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in Psychology and Legal Studies, Mackenzie combines her academic background with practical experience as a former EMT and intern with the State Division of Criminal Investigation. In addition to her role within the Mental Health Unit (MHU)—where she works to divert individuals in crisis away from the criminal justice system and toward essential services—Mackenzie also serves on the department’s internal Peer Support Team. In this capacity, she provides vital mental health and wellness resources to her fellow officers, ensuring those on the front lines have the support they need to serve the Madison community effectively. Presentation Summary "The Front Lines of Mental Health: Supporting Officers and the Community" Officer Cole will provide a comprehensive update on the evolving landscape of crisis response in Madison’s West District. Since her last visit to our club, the intersection of law enforcement and mental health has seen significant shifts. Mackenzie will share insights into the current initiatives of the Mental Health Unit, including how the department coordinates with CARES and Journey Mental Health to improve outcomes for residents in crisis. Furthermore, Mackenzie will take a "deeper dive" into a critical but often overlooked side of public safety: officer wellness. She will discuss her work with the internal Peer Support Team, highlighting the importance of mental health for first responders and the proactive steps the Madison Police Department is taking to support the well-being of its officers. She then realized that most of the people in this country don’t have the skills to really understand what their doctors are telling them, much less do they have sufficient knowledge to know what questions to ask. Angie is heavily involved with local and national associations of Patient Advocacy groups. She will talk about the availability of Patient Advocates, locally and nationally. In fact, her own clients are widely spread across the country.	View

Drawing on his decades of leadership experience, he travels the state to educate civic groups and voters on how these electoral reforms can reduce political polarization and foster more effective governance. The Final Five Voting initiative in Wisconsin is a proposed election reform that replaces traditional partisan primaries with a single, open primary where all candidates run on the same ballot. Under this system, the top five vote-getters advance to the general election, where voters use ranked-choice voting to select a winner who secures a true majority of support. The presentation will describe Final Five Voting - an innovative electoral change that incentivizes our politicians to work for We, the People. Final Five Voting is a straight-forward solution comprised of two key elements: (1) A Top 5 Primary: All candidates run on a single ballot - the five candidates with the most votes advance to the general election; and (2) Ranked-Choice General Election: Voters rank the five finalists in order of preference. TPC Wisconsin, formerly Cherokee Country Club, underwent a $25+ million renovation and reopened in 2023 as the 30th club in the PGA TOUR’s TPC Network. The redesigned course was led by Wisconsin native and PGA TOUR Champions star Steve Stricker, along with PGA TOUR design executive Steve Wenzloff. The club has continued to build momentum since its reopening. TPC Wisconsin became the new home of the American Family Insurance Championship in 2025, bringing PGA TOUR Champions golf to Madison and further elevating the facility’s profile. Travis brings more than 25 years of experience in the golf industry and is one of Wisconsin’s most accomplished golf instructors. A four-time Wisconsin PGA Teacher and Coach of the Year, Becker was also recognized with the Wisconsin PGA Youth Player Development Award for his work developing the next generation of golfers. His students have earned dozens of junior tournament victories and numerous college golf scholarships. Travis will share more about TPC Wisconsin’s transformation, the growth of the club and its golf academy, junior player development, and what lies ahead for one of Madison’s premier golf destinations. As Rothermel Bascom Professor of the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he directed the Textile Science graduate degree in the School of Human Ecology’s Design Studies program as well as graduate students in the Materials Science Department. He was also a faculty member for the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at the University. His research focus includes chemical properties and structures of textile fibers, plasma modifications of materials, Recycling of polymeric materials, dyeing, and identification of historic dyes. He is the author and co-author of more than 75 scientific papers and holds three patents in the area of plasma processing of polymeric materials and plasma technology. He has received many awards including “University of Wisconsin System Hero” for helping manufacturers produce PPE in United States and other countries during COVID-19 Pandemic. One of his sustainability projects has received 16 different awards including recognition from the Governor of California, Senate and Assembly of California, the Mayor of Los Angeles, the US Senate and Congress, etc.	View

A University of Wisconsin alumnus, he leads operations for the championship facility and serves as Tournament Director for premier events hosted at the venue, including the ANNIKA WAPT Wisconsin Women's Championship. Presentation Overview: The Transformation of TPC Wisconsin Dave will share an inside look at the $20+ million transformation of the former Cherokee Country Club into TPC Wisconsin—the 30th facility in the global TPC Network. Key topics will include: The Course Redesign: Highlights of the 18-hole championship redesign led by 12-time PGA TOUR winner Steve Stricker and PGA TOUR Design Services. Environmental & Facility Upgrades: Engineering efforts that improved ecological sustainability near the Cherokee Marsh alongside additions to the athletic, practice, and dining amenities.
