Kevin Welton reports on a successful Golf Event: Our annual Rotary Charity Golf Outing was held on Monday, June 17 at Pleasant View Golf Course in Middleton. We had a total of 96 golfers signed up to play 18 holes of golf on the Prairie and Woods Courses. There was a total of 27 Hole Sponsorships that had custom color logo signage on the course and listed in the program. A total of 35 Silent Auction packages were bid on by participants. We had 22 Raffle Prizes that tickets were sold for, and we also sold Mulligans for use on the course. There was a String Game that could be purchased that allowed golfers to count a missed Putt. A total of 18 Club members participated in the golfing, and there were 18 Club members that donated time as Volunteers. A box lunch was provided, then following the golf, a full cookout was enjoyed by everyone. Prizes were awarded for the 12 on course hole contests, and to the winners of the Teams with the lowest scores.
It was a beautiful day for golf, in the end the results produced a net income to our Foundation of $20,673.48. Thank you to all who participated in the event.
