 | The generous contributions to the MWTM Rotary Foundation, Inc. (Orphan Train Project) by Peder and Jeanne Moren and Mary Barnett made possible the Montessori training for "Elen" of TLC in South Africa. Elen has now finished the first of three online segments and proved to be an "A" student. You may remember Joanna Jones telling us Ellen's story. A pregnant Elen came to TLC as a young teenager, the victim of rape. TLC raised Ellen and her baby. Ellen is an adult now, working in the nursery. Without these contributions, Elen's training might not have been possible. It is an important step in her career. At some point, TLC may create a Montessori school and accept tuition-paying day students to attend, along with their residents. In any event, her training will enhance the experience of the little people living there. |
