SEEKING PARTNERS
MAKE AN INTERNATIONAL DIFFERENCE
Host Club – Rotary Club Guatemala entre Volcanes and
International Partner - Rotary Club of Madison West Middleton

invite you to partner with us to make a difference in the lives of
Guatemalan mothers and newborns

This application requests funding for a Vocational Training Global Grant aimed at expanding the successful efforts of Global Grant GG1876079. The project will build upon the established Helping Mothers and Babies Survive (HMBS) educational programs (https://hmbs.org/), which were developed by a coalition of international health agencies to equip birth attendants in low-resource settings with life-saving skills for pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

The primary objectives of this grant are:
  • Increase the number of trained Master Trainers in Guatemala from 12 to 20;
  • Enhancing the reach and sustainability of midwifery education through localized    community engagement;
  • Improving maternal and newborn health outcomes by strengthening the confidence, knowledge, and clinical skills of birth attendants.
