Wanted to remind you that Saturday, August 18th is the Tri4Schools Volunteering opportunity and we need your assistance. If you remember we have a little more than 10 kids that we assisted with scholarships and these athletes as well as the other athletes need our support on race day.
I know a few of us have already signed up online, please do let me know if you can make it this coming Saturday. We have supported this event in Middleton for the past 3 years and we will have our logo on the shirts given out to the competitors this year due to our support this year and in prior years.
This has been in the bulletin for the past month so we are looking forward to your support again. Pre-Race Setup:5:30am-7:30am SHIFT #1: 6:30am-10:30am SHIFT #2: 7:30am-11:30am Post-Race Takedown:11:30pm-1:30pm
You can sign up through the website: www.tri4schools.org If you register online please do note MWT-M Rotary Club, The Coolest Club in the World.
Our Aug 31 meeting will take place at the 105-acre Pope Farm Conservancy at 7440 Old Sauk Road, about three miles west of the Beltline. Our Club has met here for several years. It offers beautiful vistas, great geological interest, and several different plant environments. We'll be guided by Mel Pope, Conservancy Chairperson, who'll give us an always-insightful overview and take us around to several of the site's features. No sunflower event this year, but there's always lots to see.
We'll have a brief Club meeting before all the sightseeing. We'll have box lunches, BUT YOU'LL NEED TO SIGN UP TO LET US KNOW YOU'RE COMING SO WE HAVE A LUNCH FOR YOU! Make a note in your calendar to do that at the next meeting ... or send an email to jack46ferreri@gmail.com.
Please let me know of any events or special situations in our fellow Rotarians' lives where a card, flowers, or a plant would be appropriate for their situation.
