On behalf of the Madison Area Service Clubs Council you are invited to join fellow service club members for the Annual Madison Area Service Clubs Fall Luncheon on Wednesday, October 9 starting at noon at the Alliant Energy Center.
The program will include presentations to the recipients of this year’s Ruth Gordon Service Award, and the Community Youth Volunteer Award (formerly known as the Olympian of the Year). Nominations are due by August 30, nomination form are on the website madisonareaserviceclubs.org. Following these presentations, we will be paying a special tribute to the Veterans in our clubs, and any visiting Veterans to the luncheon. The special guest speaker this year will be Mr. Brian Ziegler from the Badger Honor Flight, a regional hub of the National Honor Flight Network.
Tickets cost is $25.00 and includes lunch featuring salad, vegetable, dinner roll, entrée, dessert, beverage, tip, and facility fees including parking. Dinner entrée choice is either Chicken Marsala or Vegetable Lasagna. The ticket fee will be added to your quarterly statement. Please plan to attend this 50th annual event by signing up today, and come join your fellow service club members to honor the Veterans who have sacrificed for this great country. Registration Deadline is September 20.
Please see either Kevin Welton or Ann Kale for further details, or about registering for the luncheon.
I think one of the easiest sites is eClub one. If you use google and go to Rotary eClub One, it will come up and then go to the make up section and it will just take you through the steps. What you will need handy after watching or reading 30 minutes of topics of your choice is your personal information, the district (# 6250), Toni’s email address Toni Pabon (TPabon@Pacific-Cycle.com) and a charge card for a donation.
They will send you a confirmation and will let Toni know you did a make up. How easy is that and you never had to leave home. There are other sites, but this is the easiest for me.
We’re happy to announce that the Board has approved the addition of PDQ Gift Cards to our fundraising efforts!! Very soon we will have them available for sale which means Madison West Towne Middleton Rotary will make 10% off the sale of every card!! Like the Kwik Trip Cards, they will be good for gas and in store purchases. Charlene Breunig will have them available in the next few weeks so do plan on stocking up on them and helping our Club continue its wonderful work.
The next board meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 7:00 a.m. at 901 Deming way, Suite 201 (Sustainable Engineering Groups offices). The office is on the second floor directly facing the stairs and almost directly across from the elevator. The meeting room is just inside the entrance.
Directions: 901 Deming way is close to Old Sauk Rd just outside the beltline. If you are coming from the beltline, take a right on Heartland trail (about 0.5 miles from the beltline), then a left onto Deming way and 901 Deming way is the second driveway on your right. Let me know if you have any questions about how to get there or anything else.
A reminder to all members that we have Kwik Trip Gift Cards for sale.
Our Rotary club makes 10% off the sale of every card! Cards are good for gasoline and all instore purchases. We all need gas for our cars and Kwik Trip also carries many convenience items at a competitive price: bananas, bread, milk, juice, etc...
So get your card and help our club raise funds!
You will find a listing of Kwik trip locations at www.kwiktrip.com. You can purchase cards at club meetings in denominations of $20, $25, $50, $75 and $100. Don’t forget to ask your friends if they are interested in purchasing cards from you as well! I can accept cash or checks made payable to the Madison West Towne-Middleton Rotary Foundation, Inc.
