I am currently working on putting together a club blood drive in partnership with the Red Cross as part of our 12X12 volunteer effort. The Red Cross schedules their drives a minimum of two months in advance and requires a guaranteed turnout of at least 25 donors. If you could please respond to this message with whether or not you would like to participate so that I can start a head count it would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly
Thank you to Roxanne Brazeau (and BMO) for the Overture play tickets for the auction. Also, thanks to Greg Blum for his cabin weekend getaway.
For those of you who would like to contribute but need some ideas, here goes: Golfers love golf stuff.
We could use boxes of golf balls, golf umbrellas, golf covers, golf coffee mugs, golf towels, golf tees, golf club umbrellas, golf hats, golf shoes, golf socks, golf market clips to put on hats, golf visors, golf gloves, golf shirts, golf jackets, golf sweatshirts, etc.
Of course, golfers love opportunities to golf at different courses and if the cart is included for a foursome - well, the golfers look like big spenders and they love that!
Hope that helps for ideas. I will publish more later in the week.

I ... told the Exec Committee that I could no longer chair the event. However, I would be happy to work with a co-chair. After some searching for a co-chair, the Board recently decided that without a co-chair, it was in the best interests of our Club to NOT have Oktoberfest this year.
I continue to have a very strong view that this is a viable event and by adding community partners, it will continue to grow and be a nice fund raiser for everyone involved. I’m also very willing to chair the event again in the future.
Don’t hesitate to contact me with any thoughts or questions.

I am looking for drivers for Best (Rotary Youth Exchange student) to get him to and from school/Rotary meetings. If you can help out with any of these dates please let me know ASAP. I now have to inform the school as to when he will be leaving for the meetings and it is helpful to let them know who will be picking him up and bringing him back. Thanks so much!
If you are volunteering with youth (one-on-one)? Mentoring, Youth Exchange, RYLA, Academic Decathlon, High School Business Plans, Etc... You must have an annual background check completed. This only applies if you are working with youth one-on-one. If you are in a group more than 2 people, you don't need a background check.
Please let me know of any events or special situations in our fellow Rotarians' lives where a card, flowers, or a plant would be appropriate for their situation.
