Today’s Hybrid Meeting:

 August 6, 2021

Mary Ruth brings us a wonderful program from one of her horse-riding buddies, Tim Lawhern. Tim is a retired Game (Conservation) Warden who will enlighten us on the do's and don't’s of Hunting, Firearms, Shooting Ranges, Fishing, Archery, Boating, Snowmobiling, ATV's UTV's and other cherished outdoor Wisconsin activities. Tim is an expert witness in court cases. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, gardening, woodworking, gunsmithing, horses, horse training, cooking, farming, working out, and especially helping others in personal development. Don't miss this one.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS:
August 13 - Kevin Moran brings us a speaker about the dreaded disease, dementia. Everybody knows someone who has it or who has had it. Stacy Austin Li will present an organization called DEMENTIA FRIENDLY COMMUNITY COALITION which deals with what to do and how to act with people who have the disease.

August 20 - Fellow Rotarian and attorney Nikki Yang will talk about her journey with the law from China to the USA.
Program by Ed Fink.

Jim Olmsted has done a fine job getting us speakers for the last few years. But he needs your help moving forward. Reach out to Jim (jolmsted7562.gmail.com) with your ideas for potential future speakers. Who do you know (neighbor, friend, colleague) with something interesting they can talk to us about? Serious or amusing, earth-shaking or just quirky. Let Jim know.

Rotary Swag

Kevin Moran and I were scouring the storage unit and came upon some clothing treasures that will make any Rotarian look sharp. They aren’t doing much good in storage, so we need to get them on our club members to promote the club and look like “The Coolest Rotary Club in the World”.
  • Men’s club logo long-sleeve shirt (grey) – 1 size XL
  • Men’s club logo long-sleeve polo (blue) – 4 size XL, 1 size 2XL

This is an inventory clearance.  Prices are $10 each or 3 for $25.  Get ‘em while they are hot.

Live Meetings Are HERE

The meeting place is Serendipity Labs, a co-working facility on the sixth floor of the Johnson Bank Building at 525 Junction Road (right next to Panera Bread). We’re in the SOUTH TOWER. Parking is easy and undercover. We’re doing this on a month-to-month basis right now, but it may lead to a long-term arrangement. The space is ample.

Our meeting place is circled in red on this map. 6th floor. For parking, follow the blue arrow on the map to underground parking. Go left once you enter the ramp. Parking is free; park in any unassigned spot. Go to the covered walkway to enter the building and grab the elevator to the sixth floor.

Bingo is calling!

Yes, we will be hosting bingo at the Middleton Good Neighbor Fest on August 27-29. This is a great opportunity to volunteer, showcase our club and have some fun. Deb Dieter sent all members a link to a volunteer site that includes dates, times, and a brief description of the role. It is quick and easy to use.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 which is the second-largest source of funding from the general public. It is big deal for us and we are expecting a great turnout for the event. Entertainment will include The Jimmys, Red Hot Horn Dawgs, The Love Monkeys, and Pacific Coast Highway.

Plan to be there and post it on your social media. We’ve been cooped up too long and this will be a great way to celebrate summer and make some money!
