Service Project & Fundraiser

The MWM ROTARY – (Madison West Middleton Rotary) has applied for a $500 grant that we will receive if we have 10 (now I hear 15 – bring your family) people volunteer for the IRONMAN OF WISCONSIN. No, not a lot of money – but a lot of fun at a huge community event … that is all good and fun!!

Jenny Aune (yes, wife of Steve) is in charge of the Run Personal Needs area on the Capitol Square Sunday, September 11th 2022. She describes this job in this way: “This is at the halfway point (13.1miles) of the marathon portion of the race. The athletes drop their bags to us before the race. (04:30–06:30 am) There are opportunities to volunteer early or in the afternoon. In the afternoon we hand them their bag as they run by our station. It’s really fun and inspiring.”

Here is what you need to do to register yourself:

1. Go to https://ironman.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?id=61147

2. Scroll down to RUN PERSONAL NEEDS (SUNDAY) CAPITOL SQUARE (or any job – we don’t need to register for same thing)

3. PICK YOUR TIME

4. BE SURE TO REGISTER AS Madison West Middleton Rotary

If you would like me to register you – send me your name.
