If you haven’t signed up to attend, you won’t be getting a box lunch. And if you show up at the Zor Shrine, you will be unfed, ungreeted, and unfellowshipped.
A quintet of members spoke to us last week. Ryan Seib talked about his family and his law practice. Bill Hinckley spoke of his Navy time and his California roots. Lynne Spielman told us of her financial background and her delight in handwork. Born in Rockford, Rich Cooper revealed his football background and his banking career. And Jim Wartinbee presented his journey in banking.
Our Aug 31 meeting will take place at the 105-acre Pope Farm Conservancy at 7440 Old Sauk Road, about three miles west of the Beltline. Our Club has met here for several years. It offers beautiful vistas, great geological interest, and several different plant environments. We'll be guided by Mel Pope, Conservancy Chairperson, who'll give us an always-insightful overview and take us around to several of the site's features. No sunflower event this year, but there's always lots to see.
We'll have a brief Club meeting before all the sightseeing. We'll have box lunches, BUT YOU'LL NEED TO SIGN UP TO LET US KNOW YOU'RE COMING SO WE HAVE A LUNCH FOR YOU! Make a note in your calendar to do that at the next meeting ... or send an email to jack46ferreri@gmail.com.
Please let me know of any events or special situations in our fellow Rotarians' lives where a card, flowers, or a plant would be appropriate for their situation.

Rotarian Jerry McAdow organized a Boardman Clark team that we saw often on our 28-mile jaunt. Absolutely lovely Saturday bike ride starting/ending at McKee Farm Farm Park in Fitchburg.
