If you missed the Rotary meeting last Friday (10-18-13) you missed an interesting program on Middleton Outreach Ministry. MOM’s goals are to prevent homelessness, end hunger and provide other services to needy families in West Madison, Middleton, and Cross Plains areas.
MOM has a new operations center that includes a food pantry, clothing outlet, and other assistance programs.
Al Ripp, Executive Director, will provide a tour of the facilities on Tuesday, October 29, at 3:30 pm.
The new operations center is just north of Airport Road at 3502 Parmenter Street, Middleton.
No need to register. Simply come to the large white building with the MOM sign in front at 3:30 pm. Come and see how neighbors are helping neighbors.
I am District Governor of District 3131 Pune, India and on behalf of my district and members wish you all a great year ahead. Together we will make this world a better place to live.
I am writing to you all to appraise you on a unique event that our district is organizing this year. One of the clubs in my district, RC Pune Katraj has organized a global essay competition (ROGEC) with a view to Engage Rotarians and allow them a platform to express themselves on global issues concerning Rotary. The theme for the year is World Understanding and Peace.
This competition is open to all Rotarians, Anns, Annets, Rotaractors and Interactors from across Rotary world. The winners will be invited to India for 5 days and will get involved in various informative and cultural activities.
I request you to circulate this mail among your members, share this information through your Club bulletins and encourage participation in this event from your club. Looking forward to a great year ahead.
A reminder for all members that we have Kwik Trip and PDQ gift cards for sale
Our Rotary club makes money from the sale of every card sold! Cards can be used for gasoline and in-store purchases. We all need to purchase gasoline, and in-store convenience items such as bananas, bread, coffee, milk, etc. are competitively priced.
Gasoline gift cards make great holiday gifts!
The holidays will be here soon, so stock up now for gifts for family, friends, and charitable donations. They also make great "Thank You" gifts for someone who has done something nice for you. Cards can be purchased at club meetings in denominations of $25, $50, and $100. Don't forget to ask your friends if they would like to buy cards from you.
