Today’s Hybrid Meeting:  July 30, 2021

Today’s Hybrid Meeting:
July 30 --  Dr. Reba Luiken, will discuss the experiential learning and community involvement in the Allen Centennial Gardens on the UW campus. Reba has her Ph.D. in the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, a B.S in Plant Biology and a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Minnesota. Reba also brings experience in museums and public gardens from Longwood Gardens, the Minnesota Historical Society and the Landscape Arboretum where she worked in public programs.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS:
August 6 - Mary Ruth brings us a wonderful program from one of her horse-riding buddy's, Tim Lawhern. Tim is a retired Game (Conservation) Warden who will enlighten us on the do's and don't’s of Hunting, Firearms, Shooting Ranges, Fishing, Archery, Boating, Snowmobiling, ATV's UTV's and other cherished outdoor Wisconsin activities. Tim is an expert witness in court cases. His hobbies include: hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, gardening, woodworking, gunsmithing, horses, horse training, cooking, farming, working out, and especially helping others in personal development. Don't miss this one.

Jim Olmsted has done a fine job getting us speakers for the last few years. But he needs your help moving forward. Reach out to Jim (jolmsted7562.gmail.com) with your ideas for potential future speakers. Who do you know (neighbor, friend, colleague) with something interesting they can talk to us about? Serious or amusing, earth-shaking or just quirky. Let Jim know.

Live Meetings Are HERE with some ZOOM

The meeting place is Serendipity Labs, a co-working facility on the sixth floor of the Johnson Bank Building at 525 Junction Road (right next to Panera Bread). We’re in the SOUTH TOWER. Parking is easy and under cover. We’re doing this on a month-to-month basis right now, but it may lead to a long-term arrangement. The space will be ample. We’re going to do the first two in-person meetings without food, just to make sure we have the basic logistics in place. Feel free to bring something to eat on your own.

Our meeting place is circled in red on this map. 6th floor. For parking, follow the blue arrow on the map to underground parking. Go left once you enter the ramp. Parking is free; park in any unassigned spot. Go to the covered walkway to enter the building and grab the elevator to the sixth floor.
