Behind the Scenes at Overture Center with Alanna Medearis
Dec. 04, 2026 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
What happens beyond the stage at one of Madison's most recognizable cultural institutions? Alanna Medearis, Director of Education and Community Engagement at Overture Center for the Arts, joins Madison West Middleton Rotary for a behind-the-scenes look at Overture's programming, community work, and role in Madison's cultural landscape.
About the Program
Overture Center may be best known for the performances audiences see on its stages, but its work extends well beyond the curtain.
Alanna will share updates from inside Overture Center and provide insight into the planning, partnerships, educational programs, and community initiatives that help bring arts experiences to people throughout the Madison area.
She'll discuss how Overture works with local organizations and artists, supports artistic talent, creates educational opportunities, and expands access to the arts for audiences throughout our community.
The conversation will also offer a look at how Overture continues to evolve as both a performing arts destination and a community institution, along with what's ahead for its programs and community engagement efforts.
