Our topic was Rotary Giving 101. We went through a review of our Club’s grant-making activities, which are split roughly 1/3 international, 1/3 community, and 1/3 vocational. Youth efforts are split among the three categories. Each year, we’re able to donate $45-50,000 in grants, drawn from our fundraising efforts and earnings from our Foundation Schwab account, which stands at about $250,000. Funding requests (Project Support Form) from members should go first to relevant Avenue of Service chair/vice-chair:
  • International Service: Paul Patenaude & Steve Aune
  • Community Service: John Gerold & Kevin Welton
  • Vocational Service: Adam Schaller & Roxanne Brazeau
They’ll help refine the application and also assist in seeking out potential District or Rotary International matching grants to amplify the impact of our funding. The Project Support Form is available on our ClubRunner website under My ClubRunner/View Club Documents/ Miscellaneous Documents/Request for Project Support.
Timetable is:
