One of the things that makes working for TLC so special is the undeniably divine flow of GRACE that we periodically receive. We have been on the brink of closing, or of unrecoverable debt, more times than I can count since I took up the mantle of MD in 2016. Each time, our prayers have been answered in miraculous ways, with generous gifts from our community of supporters whether in large donations or a deluge of small crowd-funded pledges.
At the beginning of June, we faced one of our most harrowing weeks this year. In true TLC fashion, two of our supporters gifted us in the most incredible way, alleviating the debt that continues to pile up as the DSD draws out our application process for government funding. My team and I were literally in tears of gratitude at this gift that helped us tackle our debt a little more.
Annual Notara Farm Horse Driving Trial, a gathering of Midwest horses, carriages, drivers, and spectators, will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Mary Ruth Marks’ Notara Farm north of Verona. The Rotary Club of Madison West Towne-Middleton Foundation is a beneficiary of this event.
Mary Ruth, maryruthmarks@gmail.com, is looking forward to receiving your pledge of volunteer support on Friday, July 1, and/or Saturday, July 2, 2022.
We welcome family members and friends to join us on our Saturday rides.
Questions? Or for more information, email or call John Olsen, johno.olsen@gmail.com, 608-220-2826. We try to email a ride plan to our riders on Thursday or Friday each week.
