Become a 2020-2021 Host Family!

Our Club is in need of one more host family for the 2020-2021 school year.  Your help in recruiting a family within the Memorial High School district is greatly appreciated.  Please have the family contact Donna Brendemuehl, Youth Exchange Officer! dbrendemuehl@yahoo.com

Hosting an inbound exchange student can be incredibly rewarding for your family, bringing an international experience directly into your home.  You do not have to be a Rotarian to participate in the RotaryYouth exchange program. Host families provide room and board and share their lives with exchange students, involving them in family, community, and cultural activities. All host families are screened and trained.  Because Rotary’s goal is to give our inbound students a diverse cultural experience, families (or couples or even individuals) typically host a student for only a few months. The local Rotary Club covers the cost of school lunches, basic cell phone and a modest monthly stipend to the student for pocket money.

CANOPOLY a New Club Project

Our Club will be sponsoring and participating in MOM’s 10th annual CANstruction food drive and fundraising event. This year the theme is ‘Canopoly’. We are partnering with the Middleton HS Interact Club to build a structure in the West Towne Mall on April 8. Food for the structure will be paid for at wholesale pricing by our Club and the MHS Interact Club will conduct a food drive to fill it up.

Team structures will be on display through April 19. For more info, go to https://canstructionmadison.org/event/.

If you want to be involved or donate food, contact Todd Wiegand, twiegs2@gmail.com.  MHS Interact Club website
