taught us about the wonderful gentle low impact form of exercise called tai chi?

Checks and balances on our democracy

Professor emeritus David Canon Dept Poli Sci UW will be back for a

10th presentation to the Madison West Rotary Club and second presentation to our

new combined Madison West Middleton Club. Presentation will discuss the likely

political consequences of the new administration and changes to come both

nationally and in Wisconsin and to reflect on whether the checks and balances that

exist will ensure that our democracy survives. Program by Fred Holtzman.

50th anniversary of the end of the Viet Nam War.

Lacrosse Rotarian, Tan Pham, will talk about the timely 50th anniversary of the
end of the Viet Nam War. Titled "Viet Nam Then and Now". Tan was born in Viet Nam and
escaped to the United States when he was 12 years old. He recently was interviewed by
Rotary Magazine and will be featured in this coming December issue. He is a leading chef
and will conduct a cooking class at the Middleton Library on November 6, at 6:00 p.m. In
addition to being an excellent chef, Tan also conducts tours of Viet Nam. He said that
many people leave China to be in the more liberal communist government of Viet Nam. Do
not miss this wonderful program presented by a fellow LaCrosse Rotarian Julie Nelson and
MWM Jim Olmsted.
